How to: Make Pine Pitch Glue
In today's video we look at one of the several uses pine trees offer us. That is using Pine resin to make glue.
Pine resin can be used for numerous things including a tinder source and of course the most popular which is making glue.
The pine pitch that is made in this video serves several uses including sealing shelter seems, make shift cut sealant (like a band aid), gluing fletchings and arrow heads to make shift arrows, can be rolled on to sticks and used like a match. Careful as this stuff is highly flammable.
To make the pine pitch you only need the pine resin from a pine tree and ashes from a fire. However it should be noted you can add things like fat, tallow, or beeswax to make the glue less brittle when it dries.
