Here is a quick tutorial on the Turnigy 9X binding procedure of the receiver with the remote, if you have any questions please leave
them below and I will try to get back to you ASAP!
I'm using this on a 1/18th scale Team Associated 18MT running a 3S LiPo and Brushless 6100KV Toro motor. I dug it out of my closet and was fixing it up but could only find an old 9X receiver to install on it.
For this bind you will need:
-Turnigy 9X Remote
-Turnigy Reciever
-Binding Cable (you could also make one from an old servo lead if you lost the one it came with)
-5-7 Volts of DC power. I use a BEC to drop the voltage of my 3s main lipo to the 5V the receiver requires. (link below). I have also seen people with 4 AA's in series (link also below)
Make sure the battery is unplugged, and your remote is off.
Start by plugging in the 5v (BEC in my case) to the receiver. This will go into the last port in the 9X receiver and note the orientation
black or ground lead is on bottom and the +5V power in the middle. The top connection of the BEC is not used
Next plug in the bind cable to the next available port in the 9Xr receiver. (This is the port right below where you just plugged the BEC)
Plug your battery into the BEC supplying the reciever with power (notice the flashing red light in the reciever)
On the back of the Turnigy remote press and hold the black button. While holding it, turn on the remote and note the flashing led
on the receiver has now turned solid. The receiver is now bound. Disconnect the bind plug, restart the remote and receiver, plug in a servo and test it out!
