•HOW GET YOUR TICKET
-Go with time in advance to secure your ticket for the sunset show
-First you get the ticket at the entrance for the Uluwatu Temple (50.000rp ~3,2€), and then inside the temple you get the ticket for the Kecak Dance (150.000rp ~9,5€)
-You can also book your ticket days advance, find your way with google
-Kecak Dance starts at sunset around 6pm and it lasts one hour

•VISITING THE TEMPLE
-Explore the temple and enjoy the impressive views of the cliffs and the Indian Ocean while you wait for the show to starts
-Be careful with the monkeys around the temple, they love to still belongings especially sunglasses and cellphones

•GET THE BEST SEAT
-When the stage open its doors (around 5pm) try to get your seat as soon as possible to have a great location for the show
-Check the position of the sun to get your seat where the sun is going down, just between the gap of the split Balinese gateway door
-Better to get your seat in the first lower middle row part so you are just next to the performance and without people in front

•WHEN TO GO
Avoid weekends, if possible, as it will logically be more crowded and avoid rainy days as the sky will not be nice for sunset, anyway the show proceeds even during rain and might be more dramatic

•WHATS THE KECAK DANCE ABOUT
The drama is based in Ramayana story, there are no instruments only a choir of 70 men representing an army of monkeys intoning “Cak! Cak! Cak!” This love story is about Rama and Shinta, who’s Shinta later kidnapped by Rahwana and also the King of the Monkeys come for help
