Jaswant Rai, the chairman of Rai Group and West Kenya Sugar companies, has strongly denied the involvement of his firms in the importation of contraband sugar. Rai blames unscrupulous traders who have colluded with some Millers to distribute the unprocessed sugar into the market, and now blames the leader of majority in the national assembly, for unfairly targeting West Kenya Sugar Company, in the ongoing sugar saga.
