In this video we discuss the comparison test for the convergence of infinite series.
This test can be applied to series of non-negative or non-positive terms.
The idea is that such series will have monotonic sequences of partial sums and therefore whether they converge or not depends completely upon whether they are bounded.
The comparison test uses other series for which we know the convergence state to bound or prove unboundable your series of interest.
