When Elizabeth "Liza" Connell received her devastating medical diagnosis in October 2011 she decided to give a very final recital, as a farewell to the public in Hastings on 27 November 2011. The audience consisted mostly of friends and family, and she entertained them not only with her singing, but also her famously gleeful, positive spirit, until the final, heartbreaking encore.
She passed away shortly after that recital, on 18 February 2012.
(Apologies for the less than perfect camera work. It was a difficult occasion to film....)
