A jam thumbprint cookie is a flour based baked biscuit with some raspberry jam. This one was also covered with some chocolate from the bottom and powder sugar from the top. As you can see in higher magnifications, this one seems to have more sugar then anything else and I believe that jam in this case was also mostly made of sugar.

To better understand the light response when it interacts with such surfaces I captured it in different magnification levels. I didn't managed to measure its color as the color spectrometer I own needs more even surface with more coverage to return reliable results, and when I found the solution, I found that all cookies were already gone. But as we all see, cookie was kind of yellowish while jam was dark red ;)
