Many people visited central London on Boxing Day for sales shopping, despite drizzle and fears over the Omicron variant of Covid-19.
Many stores on Regent Street remained closed, with some posting notices in their windows saying they did not wish to contribute to the spread of Covid-19 on a traditionally busy day for the High Street.
