Brownells new product guru Paul Levy is back for some show-n-tell, starting with the FightLite SCR rifle. The SCR is a novel adaptation of the AR-15 platform with a lower receiver like a traditional hunting rifle mated to an upper receiver with either an M-LOK® handguard or a traditional wood forend. This allows folks who live in jurisdictions with "Black Rifle" restrictions to enjoy as much AR functionality as possible while complying with the law (but check your local laws to be sure). Paul shows us how the FightLite folks reconfigured the AR-15 lower, including redesigning bolt / carrier system, to get all of this to work. The SiOnyx Aurora Night Vision Monocular provides a lot of high-end digital NVG features in an optic that costs about as much as a mid-line scope. It has a rechargeable battery pack, and you can record the COLOR image on a MicroSD card. A Picatinny mount (sold separately) lets you install the Aurora on your rifle behind your red dot sight and use it as a night vision scope.
CMMG's Action Tuning Kit is a set of weights that attach to the carrier of your pistol-caliber AR-15 so you can adjust how your rifle cycles, much like changing the buffer or twiddling an adjustable gas block on a standard AR. You can "tune" the rifle to match the load you're shooting or to work better with a suppressor. These weights are compatible with the Law Tactical Gen3M folding stock adapter. With winter coming, you'll want a beanie, a knit stocking cap, from Magpul® to keep your noggin warm. These subtly logoed beanies have some handy features that make them better than an ordinary knit cap from your local farm supply store.
