Panchamrit - what is it?
If you have ever been to a Hindu pooja ceremony, chances are you know what this is. You either love it or not care much for it. I know my father in law loves drinking a whole glass full of this and I Om the other hand just take a tiny bit for Prasad!
Why are these five ingredients used in Panchamrit:
🌸 Milk - (Cow's milk) purity and pious was
🌸 Yogurt - Prosperity and progeny
🌸 Honey - sweet speech ans unity
🌸 Sugar or Jaggery - sweetness and bliss
🌸 Ghee - knowledge and victory.
In our family it is emphasized that honey and ghee can't be in equal amounts so we take more honey than ghee.
