Learn how to explore your emotions with music therapist, Mackenzie Conner! Our board-certified music therapists at Voices Together ® use many techniques to engage clients during music therapy sessions. Exploring emotions is just one of those techniques.
To explore the world of emotions, follow along with Mackenzie. Start by brainstorming some feelings you want to try playing out on musical instruments. You could write your emotions on paper and put them in a bowl. Then, pick out an emotion and begin playing your musical
instrument. Mackenzie likes playing on her drums or piano. You can even play music on found instruments, like a pillow or pots and pans!
Exploring your emotions can be a big task, but it can also be loads of fun. Let us know how you’re feeling today and how you chose to explore it!
We hope these tips from music therapist Mackenzie Conner can help you to explore your emotions and/or be helpful for autism therapy at home with your loved one. Thanks for watching!
