I had never heard of Cheerwine Soda until a viewer told me about it, and I was especially excited when I heard there were many BBQ sauce recipes using it. So in this video I mix up a batch of my own version of Cheerwine BBQ sauce and glaze a couple of nice chickens after a generous application of It’s Incredible Rub. Less than 2 hours later, after a nice spin on the Weber Kettle Rotisserie, I had two absolutely delicious BBQ Chickens just perfect for the dinner table or the picnic table.

Cheerwine BBQ Sauce Ingredients

24 oz Cheerwine Soda (or Black Cherry Soda)
10 oz Molasses
2 ½ cups Ketchup
1 ½ cups Brown Sugar
½ cup Apple Cider Vinegar
½ tsp Cayenne Pepper
½ tsp Onion Powder
½ tsp Granulated Garlic
½ tsp Cracked Black Pepper
½ tsp Red Pepper Flakes
2 TBSP Mustard
