Azby Whitecalf, a Plains Cree character designer and illustrator, has hand painted a mural that tells the story of how the art of beadwork connects us to Indigenous culture and heritage as it continues to be passed down from generation to generation.
The mural is a partnership with His Bead Store, a Saskatoon business owned by a young Métis entrepreneur, Dakota McLeod, that celebrates art and traditional cultural beadwork. The mural is open for public viewing at the store, located at 2210 Ave C N in Saskatoon.
