Top quality 2.45 CTS faceted natural black opal gemstone originating from Ethiopia. This measures approximately 13.4 x 7.5 x 6.5 mm and is cut into a pear shape.

The stone has an unbelievable play of color that is best seen in the supplied video. At certain angles the stone lights up fully in red and gold tones, while at other angles bright flashes of green and blue fill the surface. A true color shifting effect that is breathtaking. Other beautiful colors such as orange and purple can also be seen to travel within the stone.

This is a naturally earth mined gemstone and has been smoke treated to enhance color. Don't be fooled by lesser imitations. This is not a doublet or filled product, this is solid earth mined stone. The condition of the stone is excellent with no damage except perhaps some very faint surface marks that are hard to detect.
