From land to water we got to find our new edges with the Greenland paddles and craft. Each day, we'd spend focused time building the physical literacy and brain paths for more comfortably accessing the timeless wisdom and technology of Greenland kayaking techniques with amazing instructors (and great people) Turner Wilson and Cheri Perry -- a real treat. This part of the 5-day workshop in August 2012 helped us to venture forth into touring mode with more confidence, exploring and absorbing this paddling paradise while applying and refining skills. When upside down though, Sandra might have been the most persistent in trying again, and again, and again...and regularly 'getting it'! The last few images (from 4:03 in the vid) are from summer 2010 when Cheri and Turner first entered our lives and camp. Good times and much 'success' had by all.
Greenland paddles, boats, and techniques are like a fine wine for those interested and wanting to explore that part of their paddling palate -- it can take your experience and appreciation to another level or possibly agree better with individual physical needs and aesthetics. Learning to roll a kayak, however, isn't for everyone, nor necessary for enjoying a guided tour and exploring at water level. "Different strokes for different folks"...or "whatever turns you on... (or 'up', in the case of rolling!)."

A similar Greenland Workshop is scheduled for August 2013 with West Coast Expeditions and Kayak Ways teaming up again - we're really looking forward to it.
