The Divine is Glensound’s Dante/AES67 monitor speaker. A low cost PoE powered Dante monitor is impressive in itself, but the real point that sets the Divine apart was the priority interrupt. The Divine has 4 inputs from the network, and priority interrupt can be assigned to these inputs. This has resulted in the Divine being installed in theatre dressing rooms, in commercial background music applications, and of course in traditional broadcast scenarios.
As well as priority interrupt, the Divine has around 15 customisable settings, all DSP based and configured by a set up screen on the rear. No sooner had the Divine started taking off, than requests for remote control these settings started. After all, if a speaker is up in the corner of a room, it is not practical to make any changes or adjust the volume!
Glensound’s in house controller app is called GlenController and in it’s latest release 3.3.3 now includes remote control for the Divine. As well as being able to give you full remote control of all functions, including the all important volume level, you also get real time metering information of each input, which you don’t actually get on the Divine itself.
This video is a short walkthough of the Divine Remote Control within GlenController.
