The Gen 1.0 console for Tesla Model 3 was fine but didn't have fast wireless charging and USB-C connections. In my other M3 I updated the front usb to the USB-A and USB-C set up but wireless was still slow. I also upgraded the rear vents to have dual USB-C for rear passengers to access faster charging that USB-C offers. The Gen 2.0 console has USB-C connections at the front and rear as stock so no need to get separate modules. The bonus with these early 2021 console is that they come with data transmission enabled in the module itself. This was a fairly simple task to do and main thing is to swap out the card reader. The card reader holds the keycards information within itself, it is not held within the car MCU or other modules, thats why we have to take out new card reader and install our original in in new console to work correctly. If you dont swop out the card read, the car computer will not recognise your card and will "BRICK" the car. Hope you enjoy the video, first time doing this with my youngest so was a fun and learning experience for both of us. Peace out.
