Hi everyone,
We made this video walking around Dara which is a former Roman fortress city about 30 km outside of Mardin. There is no entrance fee to see the ancient city.
Dara dates back 2300 years and is called the Ephesus of Mesopotamia. We also visited the water cistern which was only discovered a few years back under a village barn and which is 6 meters higher than the Basilica Cistern in Istanbul.
