Repost due to the bad sound quality of the first video.
My apologies to those who had already commented and rated that video.
This is a great tango composed by Fred Markush called "Zigeunerträume" (Gipsy dreams) aka "Ob du mich wirklich lieb hast" (I don't know whether you truly love me).
The singer is Paul Dorn (thank you Hendrik!)
It is the flip side of Adalbert Lutter's version of "Du schwarzer Zigeuner".
The video features some Telefunken publicity as well as a sequence of Renate Müller and Adolf Wohlbrück (later Anton Wallbrook) dancing a tango from the movie "Die englische Heirat" (D-1934, dir. Reinhold Schünzel).
About the record :
Telefunken A 1147 / mx. 18536
The record is quite warped and produces serious surface noise and clicks.
Yet I really like this recording (and it is the only one of this song I have) so I decided to present it anyway.
Transferred without filtering or cleaning.
The quality is accordingly.
Sound equipment used :
Ortophon Om78 Cartrdige and Stylus
Turntable : Stanton T.90
TerraTec Phono Pre-amp
