The Bosozoku have a story that is deeper tahn just excessive modifications and loud cars. For the first generation, it was a way to express distaste with what was ultimately defeat following world war 2. These individuals tried to find purpose and excitement through the illegal activity of gang functions; ultimately resulting in over 40,000 members in its peak. Due to the Japanese economic collapse and increasing pressure of laws preventing automotive modification, the Bosozoku numbers rapidly declinded.
