The worldwide community of museums celebrated International Museum Day on Thursday. The International Council of Museums set the theme for this year as "Museums and contested histories: Saying the unspeakable in museums". What message were they trying to send to the world? How can one make contested history relevant to modern society? CGTN’s Liu Xin was joined by Nancy Yao Maasbach in New York, President of the Museum of Chinese in America, and Peter Keller, Director General of the International Council of Museums, in the studio to discuss the topic.
