Walking in Machu Picchu gave me a totally different vibe compare to Chichen Itza or Tikal, luckily I didn't take the famous viewpoint, because it was way over crowded. After walking through the city Huchuy Picchu gave the perfect view from the whole site.
It's a 15th-century Inca site located on a ridge between the Huayna Picchu and Machu Picchu mountains in Peru. It sits 2430 meters above sea level on the eastern slope of the Andes and overlooks the Urubamba River hundreds of feet below.
Walking in the city in some part with almost no-one around felt surreal and mysterious.
It’s believed to have been a royal estate or sacred religious site for Inca leaders, whose civilization was virtually wiped out by Spanish invaders in the 16th century.
One of the seven wonders of the world💚
