In this video, we’re going to talk about why keto didn’t help your joint pain. If you’re on keto and it hasn’t helped your joint pain, the first thing you want to do is make sure you’re also doing intermittent fasting.
When you lower your carbs and do fasting, pain often goes away because of lower levels of inflammation. Ketones are anti-inflammatory compounds. When you fast, you go through autophagy—this is your body’s way of clearing out old and damaged proteins.
Keto and fasting also help support a healthy immune system, which helps block inflammatory processes that may contribute to your joint pain.
If keto and fasting do not help you with your joint pain, these may be the reasons:
1. DJD (degenerative joint disease)
2. Low vitamin D3 - powerful natural inflammatory
3. Low vitamin K2 - helps transport calcium from joints to your bones
4. High omega-6 fatty acids
5. Low omega-3 fatty acids
6. Gallbladder issues (often with right shoulder pain)
7. Muscle compensation - this can put stress on your joints
Put this information to use and see if it helps you.
