Kubuntu 16.04 LTS New Features
Kubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) includes the latest, long-term supported Linux kernel 4.4.6. Plasma 5, the next generation of KDE’s desktop has been rewritten to make it smoother to use while retaining the familiar setup. Kubuntu comes with KDE Applications 15.12 containing all your favorite apps from KDE, including Dolphin. Kubuntu 16.04 LTS also includes LibreOffice 5.1 and Firefox 45.

Kubuntu 16.04.1 LTS Update
It's an update to Kubuntu 16.04 LTS. This updated release contains all the bugfixes added to 16.04 since its first release in April. Kubuntu 16.04 users can run the normal update procedure to get these bugfixes.
