During the raining season, on the full moon day of month Śrāvaṇa, we celebrate Balaram Jayantī, or the appearance day of Lord Balaram, as well as the famous festival known all over India as Rakṣā Bandhan. It is an ancient tradition that on this day we play a game of pot breaking, a game which Kṛṣṇa and Balaram themselves used to play in their childhood.
