How to install brake pedal return spring on a 1947 CJ2A Willys Jeep. The spring is attached directly to the pedal arm and the other end attaches to the transmission support crossmember.

A must do when doing a complete brake overhaul on your Willys Jeep.

During the harsh winter months in Canada we decided to take the Willys apart, fix a few parts, and get it back on the road. Then repeat this the next winter. During the winter of 2021 we rebuilt the brakes and basic engine upgrades (spark plugs, water pump, distributor, ignition coil, etc.). THIS winter of 2022 we are tackling to replace the transmission and transfercase but finding lots of other problems deep within the engine.
