The governments of Venezuela and the Caribbean island nation of St. Lucia signed an agreement Tuesday for the sale of oil products. The Petrocaribe joint venture agreement will facilitate trade by streamlining customs procedures, shipping, and operations. St. Lucia joined Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua and other countries in the Bolivarian Alliance of the Peoples of Our America (ALBA) trade bloc and Petrocaribe energy alliance in 2013, and since then and with the new agreement has benefited considerably.
