Live from Perkins & Will's Studios in Downtown Los Angeles, The Housing Innovation Collaborative's Rapid Shelter Innovation Showcase presents "DOME Sleep Pod" by Perkins & Will, a prototype-stage rapid shelter solution for congregate living spaces, which finds the right balance between an on-site operator's need for oversight and security, with the resident's needs of comfort and privacy. Inspired by VIP locker rooms and business-class sleeping cabins on trains and planes, residents of a "DOME Sleep Pod" sleep 'first-class' in their transition to permanent housing. Presented by Yan Krymsky, Principal, Design Director of Perkins & Will's Los Angeles Office.
