I do love a good bit of stained glass and I don't know why I haven't done a resin art piece that imitates it before. Yes, I've made a few resin art pieces for hanging in a window, but when I started stocking the 12x12 acrylic sheets i was inspired to finally have a go at something that looked like real stained glass. For this piece I found a frame on amazon that was sold as 12 inches square. When it arrived the inside size was actually 11.25 x 11.25 and so I designed a template to suit. The frame came with glass in the center and so rather than replace it I just stuck my template on to it directly.
I do think this piece will look just as good without the frame and I will be doing more like this to test that out.
Anyway, its a simple but effective piece and the rest is fairly self explanatory.
enjoy!
