It's been a wait of five months before Oscar could be introduced to the world. Born to Flipper and Mr Molt... this is Oscar's first time in the spotlight as zoo authorities kept him away from the media for the first few months after he was born. The zoo had announced his arrival in September last year but he only got his name recently. The other penguin chick is called Oreo and is born to Donald and Daisy. Humboldt penguins at the Byculla zoo have a special temperature-regulated enclosure. The BMC has claimed that after the arrival of the penguins, its revenue from the zoo has increased dramatically...and is roughly spending Rs 15 crore a year on their upkeep.
