People will genuinely say "git gud" to anything. I could say "I'm unhappy with my toaster because it lit itself on fire at night and burned my house down" and they'd respond with "git gud lol".
People assume that ANYTHING you talk about in a Souls game is related to it's difficulty, like, someone could only complain about the game being hard. I've never disagreed with "git gud" as a mentality, but people use it to just ignore criticism and straw man any argument as "oh, you must just be complaining because the game is too hard for you". Bro, these games are not hard, this game is not very hard. I have no malice towards the game's challenge in any way. These are things I genuinely academically think warrant some small level of criticism.
A game would have to be about 1000 times harder than Elden Ring before I'd start complaining that it's too tough. Soulslike games have never been even in the top 100 of hardest games you can play, and it's very bizarre to me that people take this kind of stance with games that are only slightly tougher than mainstream games. In fact, plenty of mainstream games are harder than Soulsborne games if you include the difficulty selections. Metroid Dread on the hardest setting is much harder than Elden Ring and I don't have criticisms of that. Stop pretending like Soulsborne games are the height of challenge and the truest most divine test of skill. They are video games. They can be criticized. Jesus Christ.
