On the Film Companion Director's Choice at the 16th Mumbai Film Festival,Imtiaz Ali presented Junoon and spoke to director Shyam Benegal, cinematographer Govind Nihalani and the cast of the film which included Naseeruddin Shah, Nafisa Ali and Kunal Kapoor about making the film. The enthralled audience posed many questions to the distinguished panel on the creation of the classic.
