Nationals Senator Matt Canavan says the government’s plan for renewable energy in Australia has been a failed “giant green experiment”.

“We should now listen to the science … it has been a big scientific experiment that has failed,” Mr Canavan told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

“What we’ve got to do is install reliable power again.”
