The Castillo de la Mota is a castle that is located in the town of Medina del Campo , ( Valladolid province , Spain ). Located on an elevation of the land (mota), it dominates the town and its entire extensive region. From it a walled enclosure started, enlarged on three occasions, which embraced the population, and of which some remains remain . It was built with the characteristic reddish brick typical of the area, using the stone only for small details, such as embrasures, shields, etc. The building belongs to the model of castles known as the School of Valladolid . It was declared an Asset of Cultural Interest(BIC) on November 8 , 1904 . [ 1 ] A scale model of this building can be found in the Mudéjar theme park in Olmedo .
