This video focuses on the basic concepts necessary to freeze motion, namely that you need to prioritize a shutter speed of 1/500 or better, depending on how fast your subject is moving. We look at several images and go over how they were shot and what effect the shutter speed had on the image. This is intended as a conceptual prep for the next assignment, in which you will be asked to create your own photos that freeze motion.
