A downtown St. Petersburg apartment remains uninhabitable after a fire forced the building to lose power and water.
Despite ongoing efforts to repair an electric system that was damaged, the 275 seniors living at the Lutheran Apartments must wait longer to return than anticipated.
The fire broke out Dec. 16 and prompted an evacuation of the entire building the next day. At the time, property management estimated it would take another seven to ten days before residents can return.
Now, residents are slated to return another ten to fourteen days, according to management.
