Sky News host Ashleigh Gillon says the early rush of American votes is building up a “red mirage” and stirring up premature hope among Republican supporters for a Trump victory.
“Pennsylvania and Wisconsin don’t start processing or counting postal votes until today,” she said.
Meanwhile, a record-breaking turnout in Texas is giving Democrats a far-flung hope of winning the state which is usually a Republican stronghold.
In light of these factors, Ms Gillon said it was important to be “wary” of the early election results.
