On 12 October 2022, FAO Liaison Office in Geneva, in collaboration with the FAO Markets and Trade Division, organized the FAO in Geneva Agriculture Trade Talks to present main highlights of the 2022 editions of its flagship report, The State of Agricultural Commodity Markets (SOCO), under the theme ‘The Geography of Food and Agricultural Trade: Policy Approaches for Sustainable Development’
This session explored how trade policies, based on both multilateral and regional approaches, can address today’s challenges for sustainable development by focusing on the geography of trade, analyzing food and agricultural trade and its patterns across countries and regions, its drivers, and the trade policy development.
