In this video, we're going to show you how to make a Nutella Star Bread recipe.
This incredibly simple recipe is perfect for when you suddenly have unexpected coffee guests. It requires minimal preparation, without sacrificing anything in terms of taste or appearance.
Ingredients:
2 pizza doughs
300 g Nutella
1 egg
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius (345 degrees Fahrenheit). Use a plate as a template to create two circles from the pizza dough. Roll out the dough scraps to create two more circles of the same thickness and size.
Place one dough circle on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and spread approximately 100 g of Nutella over it.
Use a spatula to evenly distribute the Nutella over the dough, leaving about 1.5 cm (0.6 inches) around the edge.
Repeat with two more layers of dough and Nutella.
Top with the remaining dough circle.
Now, let's create the star shape. Start by making four cuts in the dough, dividing it into four sections, but without cutting all the way to the center. You can place a small bowl in the center to help maintain an even distance from the center.
Divide each dough section precisely in half with four more cuts. Then, divide the eight sections you get into halves again, so the dough circle has 16 "arms."
Next, take hold of two adjacent arms and gently twist them. Twist the one in your left hand counterclockwise and the one in your right hand clockwise.
Twist them a total of two and a half times and press them together. Repeat this process around the entire pastry.
Whisk an egg and brush it over the pastry. This step is not absolutely necessary, but it is recommended for a nicer finish (the dough will have a better color and shine).
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the dough has a nice golden color.
Serve and enjoy! It's excellent as a coffee treat or for an extra special breakfast spread.
