The Government has released its net zero modelling that informs its net zero plan that supposedly will be achieved without any real net zero policies. Bizarrely, included in the modelling is a carbon price, modelling that has been used to try to show that Australia can get to net zero without a carbon price.
When our Chief Economist Richard Denniss highlighted this (you can check out his New Daily piece and his radio interview via links below) and Angus Taylor called the radio to disparage the findings as 'wishful thinking'. Taylor's cleanup effort was full of misdirection, obfuscation, and progressed beyond spin to straight-up nonsense.
Join Polly and Richard on the latest episode of Spin Bin as they do their best to decode Angus Taylor's interview with 3AW radio (available below) and explain what's actually going on with the Government's plan for emission reduction.
