Peritonitis is a major cause of morbidity, haemodialysis transfer, mortality, and excessive healthcare costs in patients receiving peritoneal dialysis (PD). It is regarded by patients, caregivers, and clinicians as the top, most critically important outcome of PD. In March 2022, the International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis (ISPD) published updated guidelines for the prevention and treatment of PD-related peritonitis, which included new definitions, new peritonitis rate targets, and new recommendations. This webinar will provide a comprehensive overview of the new ISPD Peritonitis Guidelines.
This webinar was co-organised with the ISN.
