Sensō-ji is believed to be the oldest temple in Tokyo, and it's one of the city's most popular tourist attractions. The temple is known for its iconic red lantern. Kaminarimon Gate (Thunder Gate) is the entrance to the temple grounds.
The steps beneath the lantern have been removed to make the gate wheelchair-accessible. The Hondo, the main hall of the temple, is also accessible by an elevator. Josh recommends you check out the beautiful paintings on the ceiling of the Hondo.
