This is a model I wanted to feature some time ago as this is a beautiful L-29 that my friend Justin scratch-built for an 80mm EDF. We were only able to get the one flight as you'll see in the taxi back, only one flap servo retracted as the other had burned up. Add to that after getting home, I had discovered some audio issues as well. Well, with much work, I was able to save the audio and am eager to present Justin's awesome work! The model It was built from his own plans and is primarily carved or hotwired foam with a light glass applied over the fuselage. The wings, horizontal stab, and vertical are conventional balsa sheet over foam. Power system is a stock 80mm system out of the freewing mirage with a 1900kv outrunner and 100 amp esc. Batteries are rt 6250 6s packs. 52" in length, 51" span, and weighs 7lbs 8ozs rtf. It took 10 months to build.
