Welcome to the 2024 Rails in the Garden event at the Alpine Railway, a beautiful live steam narrow gauge garden railway in Sydney. Track gauge is 32 mm, with a scale of 16mm to the foot (1:19).

Rails in the Garden are a group based in NSW, Australia that meet regularly to run our live steam and battery-electric trains on 32mm and 45mm gauge tracks at events held in member's gardens and at regular indoor exhibition events. We cater to all the common garden scales including Gauge 1, 16 mm, G-scale and 7/8ths scale.

We produce our own quarterly Australian magazine devoted to the garden railway hobby and subscription enquires are welcomed by e-mail: magazine@ritg.org.au.
