This yoga practice gets started right away with an active Pranayama (breathing exercise) called Robin’s Breath. After 3 cleansing breaths, you will breathe and move to open your chest, throat, and upper back while cultivating a strong and rhythmic breathing pattern.
A complete spinal warm-up keeps you moving as you rotate the spine in all directions and move into hip rolls and knee to nose crunches.
From Downward Facing Dog, you will move toward a flow that includes twisted and crescent lunge, chair, balance chair, and warrior 2. The flow builds with star, squats and side planks, in addition to flow with Chaturangas.
Try out some balance postures on your feet and hands, like half-moon and crow, and challenge yourself with a jump back.
Before you know it (short and sweet), you will be relaxing in pigeon pose, reclined twists, and Savasana.
