Alexander Dargomyzhsky was a Russian composer who wrote mainly operas as well as beautiful lyrical works for piano. Given his contemporaries (i.e., Franz Liszt, The Rubinstein's, Borodin, Chopin, Paganini, Schumann, etc.), however, he may have had difficulty realizing significant renown. But his music is now finding concert stages around the world.
