Tractor and Container Rollover on Freeway Overpass - Back at it again in a super close quarters rollover, assisting Omar at Titan Tow. He gave me a call around 4:30am to help with this tractor and container rollover on the 91 FWY connector to the 605 FWY. This is a HOT spot for accidents and I've done at least a few here in just the past couple years alone. My #1 guess is always speed as the main factor, followed closely by distracted driving.

The force of the rollover was so great that it completely sheared off the 5th wheel plate that connects the tractor to the container via the king pin. This rarely happens, but I have seen it before and also made the game plan more simple. Step 1, tractor. Step 2, container.

Easier said than done though, as this two lane overpass is cramped. Bringing it over off the side would crash the container into Hulk, my 50ton rotator. That's why I used an advanced technique to simultaneously upright it while scooting the container away from my truck. This was no easy feat, but we got it done quick and opened up lanes for the morning rush hour.
