Ankita Shah begins this talk with a poem about her mother rebelling against problematic traditions she grew up in, and choosing to raise her in a different way. Inspired from the women in her life and her experiences and observations of women around her, Ankita shares four small acts of support, little gestures that women can extend to other women and empower each other. She believes that standing in support together is the only way to fight the bigger fight of equality. Ankita Shah is a Bombay-based poet, co-founder of a local outfit called The Poetry Club that enables accessing & learning poetry, through discussion-based readings and workshops. She is always interested in the space between the seen and the unseen, felt and unarticulated, past and present. She believes the arts are constantly trying to bridge the gaps that exist in our understanding and experience of the world and therefore holds them central to human existence. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at [ Ссылка ]
