Wits University in Johannesburg will hold a General Assembly of its entire staff and student body on Friday, while a resumption of its academic programme has been postponed until Monday next week. Management says a mediation process with the Fees Must Fall protesters will take place for the rest of the week. Wits says it doesn't want to see any repeat of the recent violent clashes between police and protesters.
