Francis Wanguo Mutunga and William Mbevi Mutunga have qualified to the world junior athletics championships 400 m race semifinals after each coming in third in their respective heats. However Kenya's only female 800m race representative Agatha Jeruto failed to make it to final after managing a third slot in the race semi final race.
